Tours, Tents, and Tough Calls

A full-blown two-for-one special

Hey Future Owner,

Wednesday: I went all-in on a venue tour marathon. Spent the day visiting spots I’ve been eyeing, shaking hands, grabbing contact info, and making sure they remember my face. Some venues were huge, some had strict vendor lists, but all of them gave me valuable insight—and real momentum. The best part? Building camaraderie with others in the organization as we moved from stop to stop. Worth every minute… even if it was my wife’s birthday. (We’ll talk about that later.)

Thursday: I followed up with every contact I made, keeping the fire warm. But then—our scheduled tent pickup went sideways. We arrived on site only to be told another event was happening, with zero communication beforehand. I kept my cool, paid my guy for his time, and sent a direct (but respectful) message to the coordinator. Relationships come first, but so do boundaries.

To turn things around, I asked the crew to help unbox and organize three pallets of banquet chairs. Now they’re neatly stacked and ready to roll.

Closing Thoughts

Between the hustle, missed birthdays, and misfires, you either learn fast or fall behind. We’re choosing the former.
