A Quick Stop Turned Marathon

What was supposed to be a 10-minute client visit turned into a full-on hour-plus. I went in just to take a few quick measurements. Simple. In, out, done. But the event planner who contacted me brought the end client along, and well—once everyone starts talking, the clock just disappears. Good conversation, but definitely threw off the rest of the day’s timing.

Warehouse Reset: Everything’s Prepped

After that, I headed to the warehouse to get my hands dirty. A little organizing, a bit of inventory, and now I can officially say: everything is clean and ready to roll for the season. Huge shoutout to my parents who helped knock out chair cleaning. Definitely wouldn’t be this far ahead without that extra set of hands.

Plenty of Calls, Not Enough Conversions (Yet)

Here’s the real talk: inquiries are flowing in, but bookings? Not quite where I hoped they’d be by now. May’s looking a little light. It’s not unusual—my clients are mostly last-minute deciders—but still, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little uneasy. I’ve scaled up this year, which means the stakes are higher. More equipment. More pressure. More riding on a packed calendar.

Closing Thoughts

This part of the season always tests your patience. It’s the wait-and-see game before things either explode (in a good way) or get uncomfortably quiet. I’m leaning into trust—and tweaking the follow-ups while I’m at it.
