The Peachy Pulse – October 2025: Mid-Month Check-In
Progress Check
The October grind is still alive and well — even if daylight isn’t. I truly underestimated how packed October gets in the events world. We’ve been going hard, but the calendar is finally thinning out a bit.
Right now, revenue sits around $23K against a $37K goal, with about ten days left to close the gap. It’s going to take a few strong wins to make it happen. Funny thing — I thought we were much further behind. Seeing that number surprised me (in a good way).
September’s busy pace carried momentum into this month, and now the goal is simple: finish strong. There’s still time for a few strategic outreach pushes to turn curiosity into confirmed bookings.

Quick Wins
Rain-Plan Victory: Issued a rain-plan tent for the first time… and the client didn’t book it. Translation? Easy money, zero setup. Now it’s time to refine how I present that offer — there’s clearly opportunity there.
Linen Partnership Reboot: Re-established my sub-rental relationship with Choice Linens, and even used them twice this month. The convenience is great — toss the linens in a bag, ship them back, done. The math, though, is less pretty. Prices have climbed, so I’ll need to tweak my markup or find a more efficient approach.
Behind the Numbers
Margins are holding strong at ~94% gross profit, thanks to limited sub-rentals and no major new equipment purchases. Labor remains one of the top expenses, especially now that Gusto is in the mix — still figuring out how that integrates cleanly with QuickBooks.
Meta ads were cut off this month, intentionally, with plans to revisit them in spring. The goal for now: let organic demand and word-of-mouth do their thing. And Google…of course!
And here’s the wild part — we’ve already done 23 events in October, surpassing September’s 21, with ten days still left. That’s a stat worth celebrating.
What’s Next
The focus now is simple: push hard on outreach, fill the remaining weekends, and squeeze as much as possible out of the fall rush before winter quiets things down. Atlanta’s in that weird weather window where it’s coats at 8 AM and T-shirts by noon — perfect tenting conditions. Bring on more.
Until next time
