The Peachy Pulse – December 2025: Mid-Month Check-In

A busy month that somehow isn’t showing up the way I expected

December is officially in that uncomfortable zone.

Unless we get a miracle over the next couple of days, we’re not going to hit the goal. Revenue is sitting just over $8K, which is less than half of what I was aiming for. And that’s the part that’s messing with my head a bit, because… it doesn’t feel slow.

It’s one of those moments where your body says, “We’ve been grinding,” but the numbers quietly tap you on the shoulder and say, “Let’s talk.”

Busy, But Not That Busy

What’s throwing me off is how active the month has felt. Loads in, loads out. Emails. Calls. The usual mental juggling act.

But when I step back and look at the data, it’s clear this has been a lower-ticket month. Lots of movement, less weight behind it. That’s something I’ll need to dig into more, because the gap between effort and output feels wider than usual right now.

December always brings some weird energy, but this one is making me ask better questions instead of just pushing harder.

A Small Raise and a Big Question

I did give myself a raise this month. Nothing flashy. I’m now taking $3,500 a month.

And honestly? I’m not fully convinced the business can sustain it yet.

That decision came with equal parts relief and anxiety. Relief because it felt like a long-overdue acknowledgment that I’m doing the work. Anxiety because every fixed number suddenly feels louder in a slower season.

Add in a large credit card balance coming due in March, and yeah… that’s been living rent-free in my head.

A Subtle Shift I Didn’t Expect

I think I may have unlocked a new level in this business — and I didn’t even realize it at first.

There was a 3–4 day stretch this month where I didn’t take a single photo of any of our jobs. No setups. No finished shots. Nothing.

To be fair, some of the events were small. And honestly… how many pictures of cocktail tables does one really need?

But it made me pause.

I started wondering whether this means I care less — or if it simply means the work has become normal. Less novelty. Less adrenaline. Less “let me document every win.”

I’m not sure which one it is yet.

Early on, every event felt like proof. Proof that this thing was real. Proof that I belonged here. Lately, it feels more like… work. Good work. Honest work. But work nonetheless.

I don’t think that’s a bad thing. I just didn’t expect the shift to show up this way.

Where My Head Is Right Now

December is forcing me to slow down and actually look.

At pricing.
At effort vs. return.
At whether “busy” is quietly disguising inefficiency.

None of this feels like panic territory. But it does feel like a checkpoint.

The kind where you don’t need answers yet — just honesty.

Until next time
