Spring Break, Small Steps, and a Side of Chaos - April 10, 2025
Balancing family, warehouse tours, and last-minute curveballs—all in a day's work
Hey Future Owner,
Trying to Work… While the Kids Are Off
With the kids on spring break, I did my best to stay productive without totally ignoring them. It wasn’t the most focused week, but I managed to get a few things done while still being present.
Warehouse Tour Just Down the Street
I toured a warehouse literally walking distance from mine. It was an all-inclusive setup with decent rates—but no racking included, which I’d need to sort out.
Right now, I actually like the situation I’m in. My landlord worked with me on terms that give me room to grow. That said, I’m starting to feel like I bit off more than I can chew. It’s wild because it feels like I just moved in… but it’s already been over a year. My lease is up in 2026, so I’m starting to gather info now in case I need to renegotiate or downsize later.
Family Crew to the Rescue
Next stop: the warehouse. I brought almost the whole family—kids, parents, everybody—to help clean chairs and prep the truck for tomorrow’s deliveries. We knocked out a solid morning shift before calling it at lunchtime.
Not the smoothest operation, but definitely one of the more memorable ones.
Back Home and Back Online
Finished the day catching up on emails and customer requests. One last-minute inquiry really threw me for a loop—even though they didn’t end up booking. That kind of thing still gets under my skin, but hey, part of the game.
Closing Thoughts
Every day isn’t picture-perfect progress. But even a day of small steps (with a few stumbles) keeps things moving forward. Plus, it’s kind of cool seeing the whole family pitch in—reminds me why I’m doing this.
