Networking, New Gear, and a Big Opportunity on the Horizon

Showing Up & Playing the Long Game

Started the morning at a networking event—just a quick hour over coffee. No major connections this time, but that’s the process. I committed to getting out there more, and I’m staying true to it.

New Dance Floor & Lessons from the ARA Show

Unboxed our new white slate dance floor from Snap Lock at the warehouse. Interestingly, an experienced operator from Florida at the ARA Show strongly recommended a more durable option. He made a solid point—high-end planners will notice the difference between this and a premium wood floor. I’ll definitely keep that in mind for the future, but for now, I need to prove the concept.

Following Up = Finding the Gold

Spent time sending follow-up emails to the connections I made at the NACE networking event the day before. I’ve heard time and time again that the gold is in the follow-up, and that really resonates with me. No sense in making connections if you’re not going to nurture them.

Inventory Check & Expansion

Picked up a few more card tables for an upcoming event—bringing the total to 40. Speaking of which, time to update the inventory.

Big Opportunity on the Horizon?

Wrapped up the day with a site visit for a festival that requires way more inventory than we currently have. It’s a long shot, but you don’t grow by playing small. More on this if anything develops.
