All gas, even when it’s chairs and site visits

On the Road Again

I kicked off the day with a site visit that was almost an hour away. I try to limit those whenever I can, but sometimes they’re worth it. This one felt like it was.

The customer seemed relieved that someone actually showed up in person, especially since they mentioned no one else had been willing to come out. That alone builds trust. Add to that the fact that the homeowner owns a business that could become an AV referral down the line, and suddenly that drive doesn’t feel so bad. I’m feeling pretty confident this deal will land. Call it a small win tucked inside a long commute.

Warehouse Mode Activated

Back at home base, the day shifted gears into warehouse grind: pulling gear, prepping for the weekend, and tackling all the chair cleaning I try to avoid. The phone wasn’t blowing up, so I leaned into the busywork.

Cleaning chairs might not be glamorous, but it’s part of keeping things moving. I had a little Jay-Z in the earbuds to push me through the monotony, and that helped.

“I will not lose, for even in defeat,
There’s a valuable lesson learned, so it evens up for me.”

Until next time
