Two jobs on the schedule today, both 40-guest packages. Similar in setup, but the details made all the difference.

Repeat Client, Repeat Package

First up, a 40-guest package for a repeat client. Easy client, easy job, and that showed in the margin—about 70%. Not bad, but not great. Since they booked two events on the same day, I gave them a small discount and waived the rush fee.

Questions Turn Into Add-Ons

The second job was another 40-guest package, this time with extras—lights, linens, and sidewalls. This was for an elderly couple who had a lot of questions at booking. Margins landed closer to 80%, thanks to the add-ons and the fact that this event was closer to the warehouse, which kept driving costs lower.

The Admin Pile

After those two jobs, the rest of the day went into admin work—sending out quotes, answering emails, and keeping things moving behind the scenes.
