September 1, 2025 – Daily Recap

I kicked off September with a little mix of excitement and nerves. August’s sales goal? Crushed. Done. Dusted. But as I turned the calendar page, I realized September isn’t just another month—it’s apparently the month. Last year it was our biggest for revenue, with October right behind it. I always thought May was king, but the data doesn’t lie. So, I’m starting with a $40k target this month while I dig deeper into the numbers. No pressure, right?

Tailgate Hustle Meets Holiday Timing

Today’s one and only job was a last-minute tailgate drop-off. Honestly? I live for this kind of gig. Quick turnaround, weekend fees stacked in, and a juicy profit margin—nearly 90%. I even waived the rush fee just to lock it in, but trust me, this one was still sweet.

Since Monday’s a holiday (for some folks at least), this booking came with those extra weekend delivery and pickup fees baked right in. Nothing like making money while everyone else is still grilling.

Funny twist: it was my first time dropping off a pop-up tent without setting it up for the client. After the job, I opened it back at the warehouse just to make sure everything was in working order—no surprises waiting for the next rental.

Digital Rabbit Hole

Once that was done, I spent the rest of the day tinkering with the website. No real plan, just clicking around, adjusting things here and there. Mostly because I was anxious about what’s next. Sometimes “productive procrastination” is just me refreshing the same page 15 times.
