Paused, But Not Stopped - April 8, 2025

⏸️ Pulling the Plug on Ads (Temporarily)
Started the day by pausing both Google campaigns—one for tents, the other for dance floors. The dance floor ad was costing just as much as tents, but wasn’t pulling its weight. The real issue? I can’t clearly track what’s working. No more back-of-the-envelope math. I want to get to a place where the ROI is obvious and scaling spend feels like flipping a switch.

📉 Meta Ads: Cutting the Fluff
I also had two Meta campaigns running. One targeted website visitors, the other was geared toward parents with kids of a certain age. The parent-targeted one got plenty of engagement, but conversions were fuzzy. So I kept the website visitor campaign—because if someone’s been on the site, they’re warm. No more guessing games.

📦 Warehouse Work + Chair Anticipation
Spent the afternoon at the warehouse continuing inventory work on tent parts—starting to feel more dialed in. Was also waiting on a shipment of banquet chairs I ordered for a specific event. I think they’ve got legs (pun intended). One of my venue partners likes them too, so they might see more action.

👣 Site Visit + New Ideas
Did a site visit for a dance floor inquiry. Probably not the most efficient use of time for a smaller order, but I’m still finding my rhythm with site visits. The silver lining? The client might need more items, which got me thinking: should I be offering uplighting too?

📞 Call, Email, Repeat
The phone didn’t stop today. Sent out a few quotes and follow-up emails. It made it tough to get into a groove at the warehouse, but that’s just the season I’m in. Wearing all the hats, one ping at a time.

Closing Thoughts
Today was a mix of recalibration and groundwork—testing what works, trimming what doesn’t, and keeping an eye out for new opportunities. If I’m being honest, it's messy in the middle—but progress is happening.
