October 24, 2025 – Daily Recap

Today was one of those slower-paced days that still managed to feel productive. I didn’t have many stops, but I started the morning with something oddly satisfying — a little shop therapy.

Pipe Rack Perfection

Before we hit the road, I couldn’t resist finally getting that pipe rack organized. Every tent guy knows the feeling — lining up all those poles, color-coded, clean, and ready to roll. It’s the kind of thing that would make anyone in the rental world pause and smile. Honestly, this setup might as well be tent porn.

Stop #1 – The Easy Breezy Setup

Our first job of the day was a 40-guest package with sidewalls. Simple, smooth, and drama-free — just the way I like it. The real win? We got to pull up directly to the site instead of hiking gear through a backyard. That’s a rare luxury in this line of work.

Even so, I always get a little nervous about driving on grass. It’s irrational, but I can’t help picturing tire ruts and awkward landlord conversations. Thankfully, this time the ground was firm and the job was clean.

Stop #2 – A Gentle Setup for a Tender Event

The second stop was a last-minute 20x20 pop-up tent combo for a remembrance dinner. The setup itself went smoothly — once we found the house. GPS can only do so much when you’re threading through neighborhoods.

Weather might play spoiler, though. With rain and wind expected Sunday, I’ll probably be heading back to secure things tomorrow. Call it the “TBD tent shuffle.”

Quiet Finish, Busy Mind

We wrapped early today. Not many calls, not many inquiries. The slowdown is definitely creeping in. As the saying goes — winter is coming.
