October 23, 2025 – Daily Recap

Short day, steady grind, and a reality check on what “hard work” actually looks like

Started the day at the warehouse and quickly realized I’ve been overthinking some parts of the business. The stack of 50 chairs I kept putting off cleaning? Took just a few minutes. Sometimes the work looks bigger in your head than it actually is.

Warehouse Work & Perspective Shifts
The morning was all about unloading, cleaning, and getting things organized. Nothing glamorous, but necessary. Once everything started looking right, the whole day just felt smoother.

Corporate Drop-Off Drama
First stop was a local corporation that needed 60 chairs and 10 tables — yet another last-minute booking (shocker). The guy tried to haggle with me on the rush fee like he was operating a small business. Wild part? They’ve got semis and a warehouse bigger than ours. It’s probably a fortune 500 company if I looked it up. But hey, a win’s a win.

Sidequest: The Pipe Rack Adventure
Since we were already in that part of town, I decided to grab a pipe rack I found on Facebook Marketplace. Way bigger than it looked online. We squeezed it into the truck, but it turned the rest of the day into a Tetris match.

Standing on Business (Apparently)
Another last-minute booking came through — cocktail tables, banquet tables, and chairs from a planner. I almost waived the rush fee but decided to stand on business (pretty sure that’s how the young folks say it). Sometimes you’ve just gotta stick to your policies and keep it professional. Boundaries matter, even with good clients.

Final Stop & Smooth Finish
Wrapped up with a quick residential drop-off on a steep hill, but the electric dolly made it easy. The rest of the day was the usual — web maintenance, sending quotes, kissing babies, and keeping things moving.
