October 2, 2025 – Daily Recap

Today was jam-packed from start to finish. Between chair pickups, string lights, a massive school setup, and a couple mistakes I’d love to forget, it was one of those days that felt like three rolled into one.

Corporate Chair Pickup
The morning started with picking up those 40 chairs from yesterday’s corporate job. Just like the drop-off, the pickup was smooth and quick. Best part? Cleared a 90% margin on this one. Easy money and a good reminder that sometimes the small jobs do pay off.

String Light Setup
From there I linked up with my teammate and we headed to the second job of the day: a string light install. We were only on site for about an hour, which is nice, but I’m still figuring out the right cadence for this product. Every setup feels a little different, so it’s still a work in progress.

The Big School Event
The real beast of the day was a local school setup—30 tables, 400 chairs, and a 20x60 tent. Sounds straightforward enough until you realize the truck couldn’t fit everything. That meant two trips, which turned this into a 5–6 hour project.

Not terrible, all things considered, but this one also required some subrenting. So margins are still TBD, and I’ll reserve judgment until I see the final numbers.

Oops… Twice
Unfortunately, today wasn’t without its headaches. First, I backed into the gutter at the school while we were on site. Not sure what that’s going to cost me yet.

Then, at the end of the night, I decided to skip swinging by the warehouse and head straight home instead. Bad call—I ended up taking out a mailbox on the way. Ugh. Definitely a humbling way to close out a long day.
