October 15, 2025 – Daily Recap

This morning was oddly peaceful — everyone in the house slept in until after 9am. That never happens. With the kids on break, I thought the day might get chaotic, but the quiet morning gave me space to actually get stuff done.

Admin Wins Before the Madness

I started the day knocking out admin work I’d been pushing off. Finished updating all the party package landing pages, paid my state taxes, and sent out a few quotes. Nothing flashy, but it felt good to clear the decks.

While looking at my site analytics, though, I noticed something wild — since turning off my Meta ads, traffic from social media dropped to zero. That’s a 25% hit overall. The ad I paused was targeting homeowners hosting backyard parties, which doesn’t quite fit as we head into the colder months, so it made sense to stop it. Still, Meta ads are powerful, and I know I’ll circle back to them once I get some breathing room.

Gearing Up for a Big Weekend

Before heading out for the evening, I made a pit stop at the warehouse. Big weekend ahead means no wasted motion. I wanted to get everything down from the racks so when my guys show up, we can just hit the ground running. They’re all about action, and I try to match that energy with prep work.

Masquerade, Missed Opportunities

Tonight was the National Association of Wedding Professionals (NAWP) Atlanta Chapter Masquerade Ball — a perfect chance to network and connect. Unfortunately, I didn’t dress up (big regret). I showed up, greeted folks, made a few new contacts.

But truth be told, I wasn’t fully “on” tonight. After about an hour or so, I found myself fading out of the room — and eventually just slipped out quietly. Frustrated with myself for not sticking it out longer, but I guess that’s part of the balance: knowing when to push and when to reset.
