October 13, 2025 – Daily Recap

Today was one of those steady, no-drama days that keep the business humming. Nothing flashy, but still part of the bigger picture. I spent most of the day solo, handling pickups and getting the warehouse a little closer to where it needs to be.

Quick Airport Run

Had one job on the books today — a simple pickup near the airport. I’d dropped off six tables and fifty chairs there last week, and now it was time to bring them home. The order came in last minute, so I tacked on a rush fee, but even with that, the margin only hit around 60%. Ugh, not great! These smaller runs always keep me humble — easy labor, low margin, quick cash.

Still, a couple hundred in the bank for a short solo run isn’t the worst way to start the week. The client was flexible too, which always helps. Now if I can just snag a review out of it, that’d make it a solid win in my book!

Warehouse Reset Mode

Once the truck was empty, I shifted gears into warehouse mode. We made some small but satisfying progress — cleaned a few chairs, got them off the floor and up on the racks, and even unboxed a batch of resin chairs to clear more space.

The real victory? Finally tossing a few things into the dumpster before trash day. It’s amazing how much better the place feels after getting rid of junk that’s been sitting around too long. Slowly but surely, it’s coming together.
