October 1, 2025 – Daily Recap

Only one job on the agenda today, but the warehouse kept me busy enough to call it a full day. And just to spice things up, I peeked at the September numbers a little early… not the happiest news there.

Rush Order Chairs
This morning kicked off with a last-minute order for 40 chairs. I keep saying I need to stop taking these small jobs, but this one was a corporate event, just six minutes from the warehouse and came with a rush fee. Too convenient to turn down.

I even went ahead and set them up for the client out of the kindness of my heart. Not bad for a quick in-and-out job, and I should still come out ahead on this one.

Warehouse Tetris
The majority of the day was spent back at the warehouse, unboxing new tables for a big event tomorrow. From there it turned into a long session of pulling and staging items, putting stuff up on the racks, bringing other stuff down… basically playing a giant game of warehouse Tetris.

It wasn’t glamorous, but it needed to be done, and it feels good to know tomorrow’s load is prepped and ready.

Looking at the Numbers
It’s not the 5th yet, but I couldn’t help myself—I peeked at the September revenue numbers. Looks like we missed our goals. And I know exactly why…I’ll dig in more soon, but for now, I’m just letting that thought simmer in the back of my head.
