November 20, 2025 – Daily Recap
Small job, big scrambling, and a little networking to close things out
Today wasn’t busy on paper, but mentally it felt like three days packed into one. I had one tiny delivery on the schedule, but everything around it took way more energy than the job itself.
Resetting From Yesterday & Prepping for Tomorrow
I started the morning unloading the truck from yesterday’s big string light teardown. Putting everything away, reorganizing, and pulling items for tomorrow’s event took more time than expected, but it felt good to reset.
I wanted to make sure I had every cable, connector, light, clip — all the little things that magically disappear the moment you assume they’re “definitely in the truck.”
A Five-Minute Drop-Off
The actual job today? A tiny 12-chair and one-table delivery. Probably a friends-and-family situation, honestly. I was shocked they even booked. The margins on something this small are usually trash, but thankfully there was a rush fee attached.
The whole stop took less than five minutes. I barely put the truck in park before I was heading out.
Marketing Mode & HighLevel Experiments
Somewhere between the morning shuffle and the tiny delivery, I slipped into marketing mode. I spent time tinkering with HighLevel’s phone system, testing how it might fit into the customer experience flow.
Still early in the experimentation phase, but I’m curious where it leads.
Scrambling for Tomorrow’s Help
The biggest part of my day? Scrambling to find someone to help me with tomorrow’s install.
My main guy started a new job, which I’m genuinely happy for him about… but now I’m in scramble mode every time something requires two sets of hands. It’s not fun being in this position — constantly texting, calling, checking availability like I’m running a group project nobody asked for.
But that’s the season we’re in.
Dinner & Relationship Building
At the end of the day, we got the family together and grabbed dinner with the other businesses that share the warehouse space we lease. Always good to build relationships. You never know when collaboration, help, or an opportunity might come from just showing up.
Until next time
