November 18, 2025 – Daily Recap

Today was one of those days where the work itself was straightforward, but the team dynamic had shifted. My main guy started a new job yesterday — bittersweet, but I’m happy for him. Still, the show must go on, so I brought one of my newer teammates along for the setup.

A Solid Morning Setup
We had one job on the books: setting up string lights, tables, and chairs outside of a church. Simple enough, except for one wrinkle — the bases for the lights needed to come pre-filled with water.

Moving them off the truck took a little extra patience and muscle, but once we got everything sorted, the setup moved smoothly.

It took us about two hours total, with only minor hiccups. For a newer teammate, the guy held his own. Good sign for the future.

Admin & Quiet Leads
After the setup, the rest of the day leaned into admin mode. A little inbox cleanup, a few quotes sent, and a couple of table-and-chair inquiries that I can already tell won’t convert.

Nothing major, nothing chaotic — just the quieter side of business that fills in the cracks between events.
