I didn’t have any events today, but my brain definitely had one. I spent most of the day bouncing in and out of computer work, trying to figure out how to get more eyes — and bookings — on our pole tents. It wasn’t glamorous, but it felt necessary.

A Day of Digital Maintenance
Most of the day was just me sitting with my laptop, tweaking, thinking, rethinking, and generally trying to make sense of what could boost our pole tent bookings. No big breakthroughs yet, but sometimes these slow operational days become the ones that move the needle later.

I’ve been doing a lot of “general maintenance,” the type of stuff that doesn’t show up on social media but keeps the business alive.

Pole Tents on My Mind
I kept thinking back to the first — and only — time I set up one of our pole tents. I thought it would be a nightmare, but it was actually… enjoyable. There was something calming about the precision: measuring, staking, hitting exact points. It felt good to do something that required accuracy instead of just muscle.

But that was months ago, and the tent has barely moved since. That’s the challenge now: figuring out how to get this thing booked consistently. Whether that means better marketing, new photos, or positioning it differently, something has to shift. Today was the first step in getting that momentum going again.
