November 10, 2025 – Daily Recap

Today started later than usual — not because I overslept, but because Atlanta decided to act like it’s Chicago. I waited for the sun to show up and do its thing before heading out. Three stops on the schedule, all pickups from Friday’s drops.

Cold but Efficient
The first stop was a quick grab — 16 tables, no customer interaction, no weird terrain. Just cold air and slightly dirty tables. We wiped them down once we got back to the warehouse. Simple job, smooth process. The actual margin was about 90%, which sounds great… until you look at the standardized margin — closer to 50%. Still, money is money, and an easy day in the cold beats a complicated one in the heat.

Kids’ Party, No Party Guests
Next stop: a 20x15 tent from a kids’ birthday. No one was home, so we jumped right in. Quick tear-down, no drama, no delays. This one hit that sweet 80–90% margin range, even after the recent labor rate adjustment. It’s nice when the numbers actually reflect the effort.

Community Club Pickup
Last stop was at a nearby community club, picking up tables and chairs from a memorial event. It’s always a little humbling doing those — not the same vibe as a party, but just as important. Margins came in around 70%, better than most table-and-chair-only deliveries, so I’ll take that as a quiet win.

Quiet Ending
Once everything was unloaded, I called it a day. No more jobs lined up for the week, and that realization hit harder than the cold air this morning. Sad! So sad! But hey — maybe the downtime’s the universe’s way of saying, “Breathe, Ramon.”
