Momentum Over Motion: Small Wins That Move the Business Forward - March 25, 2025

How a Dusty E-Track, a Reluctant Site Visit, and a Stretch Revenue Goal Set the Tone for April

Hey Future Owner,

The Power of Small Wins

No official “work” today—but somehow, it still felt like progress.

That e-track I bought three years ago? Finally installed. Wild that I grabbed it before the box truck was even in the picture—pure excitement buy. After seeing it in use during my Phoenix trip, it was the reminder I needed: stop bullshitting and start using what you’ve got.

The Sale is in the Extra Mile

Site visits aren’t my thing. I’d rather Google it, get some pictures, and call it a day. But something about this client felt off—she was hesitant.

So, I made the 30-minute drive. Reworked her quote. She signed and paid before I pulled out of the driveway. Sometimes, showing up is the closing move.

April’s Stretch Goal: $30K

The phone rang nonstop today—can’t complain. I ended the day quoting, following up, and setting a revenue goal for April. Shoutout to Mr. Moonbounce for the push.

Here’s the target: $30K.
Our biggest month if we hit it—and not even peak season yet.

The plan:

  • Max out April 19 and 26

  • Land 2-3 solid weekday jobs

  • Set a floor—no underpricing just to stay busy

Data Doesn’t Lie: Goodshuffle Check-In

I also had a meeting with Goodshuffle, our inventory system. They pulled data I hadn’t even looked at.

Since October, 175 customer requests have come directly from our website integration. That’s 175 people who built their own quote—no phone call, no back-and-forth. It’s not quite online checkout, but it’s a massive time-saver.

They also reminded me about the picking tool—a system to create clean, precise pull sheets. If I’m serious about stepping back from the day-to-day, I need this in place. Picking orders can’t live in my head forever.

Closing Thoughts

Today reinforced a theme—systems matter. Whether it’s that e-track, a site visit, or using the tools I’m already paying for, every small move adds up. The $30K month is in sight. Now it’s about tightening the process so the business can scale without me holding every piece.

Let’s keep stacking wins.

– Until next time, keep building.
