Morning Delivery Hustle
Started at 9 a.m. with the truck fully loaded. First stop: baby shower tables and chairs, down a steep hill. The electric dolly made it manageable, and we wrapped in 30 minutes. Hoping those chestnut padded chairs shine in the photos.

Quick Party Drop-Off & Midday Pause
Next stop: another last-minute tables-and-chairs drop-off. Quick 10-minute in-and-out. Afterward, we hit pause — the next site wasn’t ready yet, so we grabbed food, chatted, and I sent off a quote for a possible Sunday booking.

Pop-Up Tent Setup
We then set up two pop-up tents plus tables and chairs. Smooth install, though I’d be back later solo to take it all down.

Solo Mission: Dance Floor & Night Pickup
Dropped my guy back at the warehouse (he wanted family time), then drove 45 minutes solo for a 12x12 dance floor install — a last-minute booking from just yesterday. Smooth job, made a new connection with the venue owner, and even learned about their future plans. After some downtime at home, I headed back out solo for the pop-up tent pickup.

Here’s how the numbers shook out for that same-day pickup:

  • Total Job Cost: $146

  • Profit ($) / Margin: $716 (83.11%)

  • ARA Benchmark ($) / Margin: $680 (78.90%) → Difference: -4.21%

Solid margins for a last-minute, same-day pickup — not always easy to pull off, but this one worked out.

Until next time
