May 30, 2025 - Daily Recap

Hustling to close out May and prepping for the next chapter

Sales Push and Calendar Panic
With May nearly behind me, the calendar for June and July is looking a little too empty for comfort. I threw myself into admin and sales follow-ups this morning, trying to stir up some bookings. Maybe I didn’t push hard enough — but the wheels are turning.

Solo Pickup Mission
By late morning, I headed to the warehouse and knocked out the only stop of the day: picking up tables and chairs from the empty house we delivered to earlier this week. Turns out it was for a birthday party.

Job Revenue: $876
Profit: $663 (75.71%)
ARA Calculator Profit: $556 (63.46%) → Difference: -12.25%

Given it was a 24-mile, 40-minute drive, I expected the margin to be worse — but the rush fee and solo labor helped.

Warehouse Prep (Surprise Truck Tetris)
Back at the warehouse, I spent a few hours loading the truck and reorganizing gear. What I thought would be an easy prep session ended up filling the truck almost to capacity. So much for a light day!

Looking Ahead (And Paying Myself)
Notably, this is the last weekend I’ll work without weekend fees. For May, I scrapped those charges to hit my sales goal — but come June, it’s back to business as usual. Smiley face, indeed.

Until next time
