Rain, reschedules, and making time for the ceremony

Late Start, Early Exit
My main guy was running behind, and I was already on a tight timeline because of my kid’s award ceremony. That meant reworking the plan on the fly, calling customers, and squeezing in what I could.

Stop 1: Table & Chair Return from Thursday
First up was a simple table and chair pickup from last week.

  • Revenue: $586

  • Total Job Cost: $180

  • Profit: $406 (69.32%)

  • ARA Calculator Profit: $403 (68.84%)

  • Difference: -0.48%

  • Solid margins and no real surprises. In and out.

Stop 2: Wet Takedown, So-So Margins
Next was the takedown of a 10x20 pop-up, and yes — it was raining. Again.

  • Revenue: $672

  • Total Job Cost: $289

  • Profit: $383 (56.98%)

  • ARA Calculator Profit: $301 (44.76%)

  • Difference: -12.22%

  • Margins like this make me pause. I don’t think I can price this any differently — but a 40-minute drive each way just eats into profitability. Here’s hoping we can get this one re-rented soon to make up for putting it away wet.

That’s a Wrap
That’s all we had time for. I reached out to the remaining two customers, asked for flexibility, and everyone was cool about it. That gave me time to shift gears and head to the ceremony I couldn’t miss.

Until next time
