Laying the Groundwork - March 19, 2025

Warehouse Reset Mode

Started the day at the warehouse with some much-needed organization. Cleaned up chairs, got inventory off the floor and onto the racks, and reworked the layout of our outdoor flooring. The goal? Set things up for a faster, cleaner install next time. Small changes that’ll save us time down the road.

Admin, Quotes, and Tech Upgrades

Wrapped the warehouse session and headed to the office — which today meant home. Knocked out the usual round of quotes and follow-up emails.

The bigger task? We officially ported our phone number to our new OpenPhone system. Spent some time making sure everything transferred cleanly. One less thing to worry about, and another system in place to scale communication.

Evening Networking – NAWP Mixer

Closed the day with a NAWP networking event at a new venue. Nothing groundbreaking, but I walked away with a few solid leads worth following up:

• A catering company that had a yes attitude — they’re at the top of my follow-up list.

• Met a new planner — always smart to build that relationship early.

• Connected with a staffing company branching into tabletop rentals — not our lane, but always good to have a trusted referral partner in that space.

• Grabbed the sales contact for the venue — one more person in the Rolodex.

Closing Thoughts

No major headlines today — but this was one of those quietly productive days. Cleaned, organized, followed up, and added a few new names to the network. The kind of day that keeps the wheels turning.
