Front yards, fans, and one stairway I almost said no to

Today was a full one. The truck was packed and ready by the time my guy showed up, and we hit the ground running.

Front Yard Nerves and First Drop-Off

First stop was a wedding reception… in the front yard. I had already called 811 and everything was marked, but I still hate staking in the front. More risk. More mystery pipes. I tapped those stakes in slow and steady, fully convinced I was one wrong move away from cutting off the whole neighborhood’s cable. Thankfully, it was smooth. A simple 40-guest package, no add-ons. In and out in an hour — even without our electric dolly.

Ballasts and Breeze at Job #2

Next was another 40-guest setup, but this one came with the works — lights, fans, the kind of extras that usually slow us down. We also had to secure two corners with concrete ballasts, which I thought would be brutal. But somehow, we floated through it. Yard access was easy, and the setup took just an hour and a half. Getting those ballasts out might be another story… but that’s a “future us” problem.

Bonus Stops and a Missed Opportunity

At that point, I probably should’ve sent my guy home. We’d crushed the main jobs. His pay wasn’t going to change, and I could’ve handled the rest solo. But we grabbed food and knocked out two quick table-and-chair drops instead.

One was for a grand opening party — simple delivery. The other involved four steps up to a front stoop. Normally I would’ve told the client we can’t do stairs, but with two of us? No sweat.

Your boy is an influencer now 👀

No, I don’t have a ring light or a discount code for skincare. But I do have a referral link for GoodShuffle Pro — and honestly, it might do more for your life than moisturizer.

Before I signed up, I was raw-dogging logistics with spreadsheets. Real spreadsheet ninja hours. At first, I only used the inventory system to keep it lean. But when I added the website integration that lets customers build and submit their own wishlists? The world opened up. Suddenly I wasn’t spending all day explaining the difference between a 6-foot table and an 8-foot table. Just clean, automated magic.
