Trademarked, tired, and thinking about power

Most of the day was admin — the usual digital shuffle: tweaking Meta ads, checking stats, and following up with customers I couldn’t get back to yesterday while out on deliveries. Nothing flashy, but still necessary. Oh, and Peachy Party® is officially trademarked now. Will it add value? Who knows. But it’s done, and it looks nice with the ®.

A Long Drive for a Lesson

There was one delivery today — a one-hour drive (because of course) to a beautiful winery venue. This was for a wedding that had originally inquired about a dance floor on sloped grass. I gave them some options, but they scaled back and ended up just renting four large drum fans.

At least, that’s what they told me.

When I got there, the setup was far from basic. Several tents with liners and fans, stages, a dance floor, and full rentals across the board. Turns out they rented out the entire venue, which is a premium ticket. The groom had downplayed it. I clearly didn’t ask the right follow-up questions.

Funny enough, this was the client I bought the fans for in the first place. I've rented them several times since, so the purchase was worth it — but still, a missed opportunity to be more involved in what turned out to be a major event.

The drop-off itself? Smooth and easy. But it got me thinking: if I’m going to keep doing outdoor summer setups, maybe it’s time to explore the power supply side of things. Another idea for another day.

Until next time
