June 2025 – Monthly Recap

A reset, a recharge, and a return to form

Highlights:
– 16 events with zero subrentals = high margins, smooth ops
– Megatron is back in action (and pulling weight)
– Hit our revenue goal with room to breathe

Wins of the Month
June started slow but finished with purpose. From last-minute installs to back-to-back pickups, we handled 16 jobs — all with our own inventory. No outsourcing. No fluff. Just clean execution.

Highlights:

  • A rush 12x12 dance floor install with nearly 80% margin

  • A tented backyard event with linens, fans, and lighting that cleared around 95% profit

  • A few straightforward table and chair pickups with ~55–70% margins

The return of Megatron (our electric dolly) made a noticeable difference in efficiency — both on job sites and in how much less my back hurts. I even wrote a full post about the journey right here.

Biggest Challenges
One of the wooden slats in the truck is starting to give out, which reminded me that I’ve been procrastinating on installing the e-track system. One of those tasks that hides in the background — until it doesn't.

And even with a better quote conversion rate than May, we still lost 74 quotes this month. A reminder that speed and follow-up matter, even during a solid stretch.

Behind the Numbers
June revenue came in just under $18K with net margin near 36%.

  • Gross profit margin hovered above 90%

  • Top 3 jobs made up about 34% of total revenue

  • No subrentals all month

  • Fuel and labor costs stayed lean

  • Ad spend was under $750, mostly focused on social media

📊 This wasn’t the flashiest month — but it was one of the tightest operationally.

🛠️ “Efficiency is its own form of profit.”

What’s Ahead
The July revenue goal is around $16K. The calendar’s filling in slowly, and there’s also a planned vacation ahead. The goal is to maintain the pace — and not let the systems fall apart just because I’m out for a few days.

What I’m Proud Of
June proved that this business runs better when it runs lean. Less overthinking. More execution. And a reminder that staying consistent — even when things are quiet — is what sets up the strong months.
