June 2, 2025 — Daily Recap
A solo grind, new tables, and relationship-building wins
A Productive Solo Day
I was flying solo today and managed to squeeze a lot in. First up was a table and chair pickup — a job that was originally supposed to be handled Saturday, but communication got crossed.
✅ Revenue: $367
✅ Profit: $192 (52.26%)
✅ ARA Benchmark: $330 revenue, $155 profit (42.22%)
Margins were predictably terrible. But here’s the upside: tracking this consistently is sharpening my ability to judge profitability on the fly — and that’s going to pay off long-term.
A Sam’s Club Detour
Next, I zipped over to Sam’s Club to grab some round plastic tables on sale — I almost missed the deal! Ideally, I wanted them delivered or to wait until June for accounting, but only seven were in stock at a less-than-ideal location. Since it was on the way to my next job, I bit the bullet.
Dance Floor Pickup & A Valuable Connection
The highlight of the day was picking up the 12x12 dance floor from that last-minute wedding job. I met the venue manager again and got to strengthen that budding relationship.
✅ Revenue: $954
✅ Profit: $752 (78.82%)
✅ ARA Benchmark: $879 revenue, $677 profit (71.07%)
Despite the distance, the margins were solid — thanks to rush fees and handling both install and pickup solo. Honestly, just the networking alone made this job worth it.
Warehouse Wrap-Up & Summer Vibes
Back at the warehouse, I prepped orders for tomorrow before heading home to hear all about my kid’s first day at summer camp. That’s right — summer break is officially here!
Until next time
