Small drop-offs, big sales, and a game of truck Tetris

Today was one of those “one-job” days — a tiny last-minute order that took me far outside the city. I’m going to start having to say no to these types of jobs. They're just not sustainable. But this one came with a rush fee, and I adjusted the delivery rate to match the distance. So if the numbers hold up, it might not be as bad as it felt driving out there. The upside? It was a smooth midday drop-off, timed just before Atlanta traffic transformed into its usual chaos. And no customer interaction!

Truck Tetris, Warehouse Edition

With Friday shaping up to be a busy one, I headed straight to the warehouse to play everyone's favorite logistics game: truck Tetris. I spent a few hours arranging everything strategically to keep tomorrow efficient and painless (well, less painful). Around 5 PM, my daughter hit me with the “Where are you?” call, so I wrapped things up about 80% done. I’ve got a little buffer in the morning to finish before my guy arrives.

September Just Got Bigger

Snagged a pretty major sale for September. Well… major by my definition. But it comes with a few logistical puzzles I need to solve before I can count it as a win. The fun never stops.

Until next time
