SnapLock wins, winding ramps, and late-night pickups

Sometimes the personal side takes priority, and that’s okay. Today was one of those days — life was busy, but business still got a decent slice of attention. That balance? Always a work in progress. But progress was made, even if it came with a side of 11:30 PM retrievals and winding venue ramps.

One Event, One Floor, One Late Night

Set up a 15x18 light maple and white slate checkered SnapLock dance floor — a combo that’s been requested again and again. This time, the client gave enough notice to justify the inventory move, so the purchase got greenlit. Setup at a new venue (potentially now “unlocked”) took about an hour, ramp navigation and all. Pickup clocked in at 45 minutes thanks to a less-than-ideal parking situation.

Admin Squeezed In Between Life

Despite the personal chaos, carved out time for backend work: refining landing pages, checking metrics, making sure the machine keeps humming behind the scenes. That quiet hustle often goes unseen but holds everything together.

The Numbers Didn’t Miss

Here’s the breakdown:

  • Total Job Cost: $224

  • Profit: $1,707

  • Profit Margin: 88.38%

  • ARA Estimate: $1,631 / 84.49%

  • Margin Difference: -3.89%

That’s a solid return, especially with weekend and after-hours pricing padding the total. When logistics work and the math follows, it’s a good day — even with a midnight wrap.

Until next time
