One admin day, two lives lived

Started off deep in admin mode — training bots, tweaking the website, and updating the Terms of Service. (Fun, right?) Then came the part I’d been putting off: picking up 32 chairs from a small job I squeezed in before Greece. Instead of hauling out the box truck, I got clever and crammed them into the back of my Nissan Sentra. Don’t ask me how, but it worked.

Somehow, the margins on that job hit nearly 80% — around $350 in profit. A little suspicious considering I had waived both the rush and portage fees. Turns out that $175 weekend fee I charged for a Sunday drop-off saved the day. A chaotic mix of mistakes and strategy? Sounds about right.

The rest of the day was a juggling act — answering calls, sending quotes, and trying to live up to my title as Funnest Dad in the World. By sundown, that crown had definitely slipped.
