July 30, 2025 – Daily Recap

Catching up, sweating it out, and dodging one soggy mess

Back to a full day

Today reminded me exactly why stepping away from the business is such a balancing act. I still haven’t opened up that tent top that was packed away wet for over a week (I know, I know), but the day got away from me fast.

Doing a favor and chasing a big fish

I kicked off the morning helping my main guy out with some documentation. Language barriers make these things trickier, so I stepped in to smooth out the process. Then it was off to a site visit for a wedding that could be a big one for us — 200 guests and a venue that’s definitely not plug-and-play.

The meeting lasted an hour and a half, in the sun, with the bride, her mom, her auntie, and the venue manager. If I wasn’t sweating before, I definitely was after that hike.

Admin and parenting: a tag-team act

The rest of the day was spent knee-deep in admin tasks. There’s so much to catch up on post-vacation, and with the kids still home from camp, I was toggling between inboxes and juice box refills. Getting it done, one tab (and snack) at a time.

Until next time
