The Day Started Quiet
I came into today expecting a light one. No jobs on the calendar for the holiday weekend — which is wild. I leaned into some admin work instead: shopping around for new insurance, figuring out how I’m going to handle upcoming jobs that require gear I don’t own, and following up with a few clients.

The Call That Changed the Day
Out of nowhere, I got a last-minute inquiry. A mom needed a tent for her kid’s birthday party on Saturday — 60 guests. I suggested a 20x30 and sent over a quote with one condition: we’d need to use ballasts, so I wanted to confirm we could access the backyard without any stairs.

I stopped by for a site visit since it was on my way to the warehouse. Everything looked good. Back at HQ, I adjusted the quote based on our convo, sent it out, and boom — signed and paid. Just like that, we’re back on the books. I even went ahead and prepped the order so loading tomorrow will be a breeze.

Still Light, but Leads Are Picking Up
July’s still looking soft, but today felt like a spark. Inquiries and quote requests are starting to roll in for future dates. Hopefully it builds from here.
