When a refund actually feels like a win
It was a quiet day on the business front, and not the good kind of quiet. No solid leads came in, and to top it off, I had to process a refund for an upcoming job. But honestly? No hard feelings. It was for a catering setup at a hotel — which already had my stress levels on alert. Insurance demands, stair access with concrete blocks, and zero direct access to the setup area? Yeah… let’s just say I slept just fine sending that money back.

New month, new goal (whether I like it or not)
Got hit with a sales challenge that pushed my monthly goal up to $20K. What I appreciated about it, though, was that it came with clear expectations — not just “believe in yourself” fluff. It was, “increase your goal and increase your Google ad spend.” So I did both. Ad budget is officially up. Let’s see if the math math’s.

Yes, the laptop came with me
This wasn’t a total off-the-grid travel day. I packed the laptop and fired it up from the road. That decision alone felt like the clearest signal yet: I’m still locked in, just operating from a different zip code for a bit.
