Juggling installs, injured teammates, and a shiny new chatbot

One job, one backup, and five hours later...
Only one job on the books today — a 40-guest package with lights and a few add-ons. The truck was mostly packed the day before, but things got interesting when my usual guy called out with a soccer injury (again). I tapped into the reserves and brought in a less experienced helper, but we still got it done in about 90 minutes on site.
That said, from the time I left the house to the time I got back, nearly five hours had passed. Not saying my time is more valuable than anyone else's, but from a business standpoint, that’s a full day for a single delivery. Hoping the post-job analysis helps justify it. I could’ve bundled this better, but I’ve got some scheduling constraints coming up — so all things considered, it worked out.

Behind-the-scenes updates
The rest of the day was all about admin:

  • Setting up a Yelp profile

  • Updating the Google Business Profile

  • Finalizing policy and privacy pages

  • Responding to inquiries and booking follow-ups

Also — big milestone: the chatbot is officially live on the website! It's already had two user chats. Nothing promising yet, but still exciting to see it out in the world doing its thing.

Until next time
