The $15K Lead I Couldn’t Stop Thinking About
Today was a test of priorities. I had a high-potential lead—possibly worth $10–15K—floating around in my inbox, but couldn’t fully dive into it. Why? The kids are out of camp and need my attention. The result? Me, physically present with them but mentally juggling requests, emails, and quotes in the back of my mind. From 8am to about 11am, I snuck away to quiet corners to handle messages and took calls on the fly—trying to be responsive without totally checking out of parenting. That’s what prioritizing looks like sometimes.

Warehouse Shenanigans: Kid Edition
After the morning juggle, I loaded the kids in the car and headed to the warehouse to prep for tomorrow’s job. They gave me a solid 30 minutes of peace before they started doing what kids do best—getting in the way. Still, I got enough packed to feel prepped. Then it was off to lunch, then the pool. I spent 3–4 hours offline...with the occasional “bathroom break” to check my phone. Back home, once they were fed and in wind-down mode, I hopped back online to clean up the inbox and finish the day strong.
