Tent Pickups & Profit Margins
We had two jobs on the books today — just pickups from Friday. Both tents came down without drama. Smooth and easy. Including drive time and unloading, the whole operation took just about 3 hours.

What surprised me was the gross margins: both came in between 70–80%, even though one was just a tent with last-minute add-ons (lights and a few coolers). Sometimes, the little extras make a big difference. If I can squeeze out a Google review or two from these, we’ll call it a weekend win.

A Big Wedding... Maybe
After the pickups, I headed out east to check out a potential site for a 200-guest wedding — a big one by our standards. Unfortunately, the site conditions didn’t pair well with our current offerings. I gave the couple an honest assessment and laid out their options. We’ll see if they want to move forward.

Vacation Juggling Act
The rest of the day was mostly admin — fielding inquiries and working through logistics ahead of our upcoming vacation. It’s tough passing on certain jobs, but we’ve got to protect the calendar when it matters most.
