January 9, 2026 – Daily Recap
An early start, a long drive, and a few ideas worth sitting with
Today was one of those days where the schedule forced my hand. I had one job to knock out and a networking and continuing education event that ran most of the day, so everything had to happen early. Not overwhelming—just very intentional with time.
An Early Job and a Long Drive
The only job on the agenda was dropping off about 30 card tables for a game night planned for this Sunday. Easy enough as far as deliveries go—load up, unload, done. No issues, no surprises.
The only downside was the distance. The venue was about an hour away, which always feels worse when the job itself is quick. Still, it was relatively painless, and I was able to wrap it up and pivot to the rest of the day without much friction.
Content, Clarity, and Conversations
From there, the focus shifted completely. I spent the bulk of the day at a networking and continuing education event centered on content creation and strategy. I took a lot of notes—probably more than I’ll realistically review—but there were a few solid takeaways that stuck.
Two things stood out most: using NotebookLM more intentionally and getting clearer on our actual offers. Not just what we provide, but how simply and confidently we explain it. Beyond the tactics, connecting with other local entrepreneurs was easily the best part. Being in the room with people working through similar challenges was energizing and grounding at the same time.
It wasn’t a flashy day, but it was a useful one. A clean job, a long event, and a couple of ideas worth sitting with.
Until next time
