The day felt heavy before it even started. I was anxious, stuck in my head, and very aware of the calendar creeping forward. It felt like one of those days where your mind never really gets a break.

A Full Day Staring at the Numbers

I spent the entire day in front of the computer, moving things around and trying to make the math work. Rent is coming due, and most of my credit card payments hit right at the beginning of the month. With very little income coming in this month, every decision felt tighter than usual.

A lot of today was shuffling—rearranging balances, timing payments, and trying to buy myself some breathing room. Even after hours of working through it, I didn’t feel fully finished. There’s still that lingering sense that something might be missing or that another shoe could drop.

One Small Financial Win

The biggest win of the day was finding another credit card to move a balance that was coming due next month. That single move lifted a major weight off my shoulders. It was one of those pressures that had been quietly building as the date got closer, and once it was handled, I could actually feel the difference.

That said, I’m not out of the woods yet. It helped, but it didn’t solve everything. The larger picture is still unresolved, and the stress hasn’t disappeared—it’s just a little quieter than it was this morning.

A Personal Curveball

On the personal side, my check engine light came on. From what I can tell, it might be something related to the catalytic converter. I’m not a car guy, but I’ve heard that term enough times to know it usually doesn’t mean anything cheap or easy.

It was one more thing layered onto an already anxious day, and honestly, it felt like piling on. Between the business stress and now potential car trouble, I caught myself thinking that I could really use a reset from 2026 already.

Until next time
