Today ended up being another slow one, at least on the business front. With school cancelled around these parks and some uncertainty in the air, it felt like a day that didn’t need to be forced.

Choosing Caution Over Movement

School cancellations around these parks were the first signal that today wasn’t going to be normal. Even though nothing looked especially dangerous outside, I decided not to push it and stayed home with the kiddos. I had one pickup scheduled, but I rescheduled it “due to safety concerns” and stayed home instead.

It wasn’t a dramatic decision, just a practical one. No need to gamble on a light day.

Admin Mode All Day

Most of the business progress today came from admin work. I spent time renewing licenses and paying bills — the unglamorous stuff that still has to get done to keep everything moving.

It wasn’t exciting, but it was productive in its own way. Clearing those tasks off the list always brings a bit of mental relief, even if it doesn’t feel like “real” work in the moment.

Following Up and Looking Back

I did some outreach to people I connected with at the networking event last week. Nothing heavy, just checking back in and keeping the conversation going.

Later, I reviewed quotes I’d lost for events coming up in the next 90 days and reached back out to see if I could win a few of them back. No expectations — just reopening doors that had already been opened once.
