January 17–18, 2026 – Daily Recap
A Low-Output, High-Noise Weekend
This weekend didn’t have much shape to it, and I didn’t try to force one. With no drop-offs on the calendar, the days blurred together between wrestling with the kids and bouncing back to the computer to tweak things I probably shouldn’t have been touching. It felt busy without being especially productive, which happens more often than I’d like to admit.
Family Time, Tinkering, and a Lot of “Almost”
Most of the weekend was spent oscillating between being fully present with the kids and disappearing into the browser to mess with settings, ideas, and half-formed experiments. Somewhere in that loop, I spun up a separate website so I could test a few things without blowing up anything that actually matters. It’s very much a sandbox right now — something to poke at, break, and learn from. I’ll share details soon (if you care).
Aside from that, the only tangible output was publishing my mid-month January update. That’s really the lone item I can point to as a completed task. Everything else stayed in progress, in thought, or in motion without landing anywhere definitive.
There wasn’t much from these two days that clearly pushed the needle forward — just a lot of maintenance, curiosity, and time split between family and unfinished ideas.
Until next time
