From Site Visits to Surprises: A Day in the Hustle - February 7, 2025

Networking, new leads, and a little too much time in the zone

Chasing Leads & Making Moves

Started the day knocking out inquiries and following up with leads. Had to cut that short for a morning site visit. Not feeling too confident about this job—it’s in a tough location with an awkward setup. But that’s not stopping me. I’m going after it.

Errands & Estimates on the Fly

Wrapped up the site visit earlier than expected, so I made a quick stop at Home Depot for some nuts and bolts to keep tent parts together. While in the parking lot, I squeezed in a few calls and sent out some estimates. No wasted time.

Networking Machine in Action

Hit up a local city business association meeting—networking mode fully activated. Met a venue owner with a unique space (note to self: follow up). The guest speaker was a judge with an incredible background. Didn’t expect to relate to her, but here we are.

Lost in the Work (Literally)

Came home and got completely sucked into creating and sending quotes. So much so that I completely blew past pickup time for my kid’s extracurricular. Oops. Also added a new inventory item—a large white drum fan—to test demand. Our event accessories page gets a lot of traffic, so someone’s looking for something. Just gotta figure out what.

Another packed day. Keep it moving. 💪
