Some days feel big and loud. Today wasn’t one of them. It felt more like maintenance — the kind of day where nothing flashy happens, but you still move the ball forward in small, necessary ways.
Warehouse Vinyl Reorganization
I made it to the warehouse and finally gave my vinyl section some attention. It’s been on my list for a while, and I just decided to stop thinking about it and start moving things around.
I’m not completely sold on the new setup yet. It’s better, but I’m still evaluating whether it actually improves flow or just feels different. There’s definitely more organizing to do overall. It would probably be faster with two people, but I wanted to take the first pass myself and see where we could tighten things up and improve efficiency.
Sometimes you just have to get your hands on it to understand what’s not working.
Admin & Analytics Catch-Up
The rest of the day was mostly admin-heavy. I spent a good chunk of time answering emails and knocking out backend tasks that don’t look impressive but absolutely have to get done.
I also dug back into the Google tags I set up a few weeks ago to make sure they’re firing as actual events. Did some light analytical work to see if anything’s starting to bear fruit yet. Nothing groundbreaking, but it’s important to track what’s actually working versus what just feels productive.
Nothing too exciting overall — just steady work, small adjustments, and trying to make things run a little smoother behind the scenes. Some days are build days. Some days are refine days. Today was definitely a refine day.
Until next time
