Some days are heavy lifts. Some days are steady steps forward. Today felt like the latter — not flashy, not chaotic, just consistent movement in the right direction. I’ll take that every time.

Repeat Corporate Client Setup

I worked with the new guy again today, continuing to show him the ropes. We started at a repeat corporate client, setting up tables and chairs for an event that isn’t until next week.

I wasn’t going to be available during their actual event window, so coordinating this ahead of time was important. Thankfully, we were able to work around schedules and keep the client. That alone made the effort worth it.

The setup itself was smooth overall. The biggest slowdown was hauling everything up and down elevators. Moving that much equipment vertically always stretches the clock more than expected. What should feel quick turns into an hour and a half before you know it. Still, it got done without issues.

Quick 60-Chair Drop

Next stop was another corporate client — a simple drop-off of 60 chairs.

No setup. No staging. Just unload and go.

Those are the kinds of stops that help balance out the longer ones. In and out, efficient, clean. Nothing complicated, just execution.

Back at the Warehouse

After we got back to the warehouse, I called it a day on the physical side of things.

Inquiries were trickling in throughout the afternoon, and the phone rang a couple of times. Nothing overwhelming, but enough to feel movement building. That’s always a good sign.

I’m hoping this steady momentum continues so the calendar can start looking a little fuller. Right now it feels like things are warming up — not hot yet, but definitely not cold either.

Until next time
