I started the day optimistic but grounded. By the afternoon, I found myself leaning into discipline more than momentum.
An AI Breakfast That Wasn’t
After dropping off the kiddos, I headed to an AI breakfast event. I’ll be honest — I went in with low expectations.
It still managed to fall short.
What I walked into was essentially two older ladies teaching other older attendees how to use ChatGPT. That was the bulk of it. Not exactly the depth I was hoping for.
That said, it wasn’t a total loss. I got some face time in and was present in the room. I didn’t do much intentional networking beyond that, but sometimes just showing up counts.
Warehouse Discipline
From there, it was all warehouse, all day.
The delivery from Fred’s that showed up yesterday wasn’t going to unpack itself. Normally, I’d slide it to the side and deal with it when I needed something from the order. But that’s not how I want to run things.
So I did the responsible thing.
I unboxed everything, checked each piece against my order, and logged it into Goodshuffle. No shortcuts. No “future Ramon” problems.
It took most of the day to get through it all. Not glamorous work, but necessary.
A Quiet Pipeline
On top of that, inquiries were almost nonexistent. Nothing real or promising came through, which made the day feel even quieter.
No fires to put out. No big wins to celebrate. Just steady, operational progress.
Some days build visibility. Some days build systems. Today was the latter.
Until next time
