December 8, 2025 – Daily Recap

A full day built around one job and a lot of discipline

I only had one stop on the schedule today, but somehow it still turned into a full, head-down, keep-pushing kind of day. After dropping the kids off, I went straight to the warehouse and actually found a groove — staging orders, unboxing new items, pulling inventory down. It felt good to be moving with purpose before the real work even began.

The Wet Tent Takedown
The main event was a 10×30 pop-up tent combo takedown. And of course it was wet. Nothing kills my enthusiasm faster than putting away a damp tent, but I powered through and wrapped it in about an hour. Margins landed around 70%, which is solid for this client — a repeat customer we've done this event for two years now.

They always order a fancy bar and cocktail tables from another company, and for a moment my brain tried to convince me: Should we offer those too? It’s tempting when you know there’s at least one guaranteed sale. But it’s not the market I serve, and I had to talk myself back into discipline. Not every shiny thing is meant for me.

Finishing the Day Strong at the Warehouse
After the takedown, every part of me wanted to call it a day. But I pushed through, opened up all the tents and sidewalls so they could dry properly, and kept working between client calls and inquiries.

It wasn’t glamorous work, but it was momentum — the kind that starts small and still ends up mattering.
