December 4, 2025 – Daily Recap
A list, a plan, and still a day that slipped right through my fingers
I actually made a to-do list today — a real one. And even though I managed to knock out a couple of items, the whole day carried this strange feeling of being productive without feeling productive. One of those “busy but not sure with what” kinds of days.
The Marketing Meeting That Threw Everything Off
My day started with our standing weekly marketing meeting… the one I forgot about until yesterday. Morning meetings always hijack the flow because once I sit at the computer, I’m done for. Tabs everywhere. Rabbit holes everywhere. I feel a tiny bit grateful when I’m forced to restart my computer (after I curse at it for being slow) because at least the chaos clears. Temporarily.
By the time I finally made it to the warehouse, the morning was gone.
Propane Tank Chaos (And Maybe a Win?)
First thing I did at the warehouse was haul the propane tanks out for refills. I was convinced we needed them for Friday’s delivery. Spoiler: we didn’t — the client didn’t book heaters this year.
Then, of course, at 8 p.m. an email rolls in:
“Actually… we might need heaters for Saturday.”
Naturally. Nothing confirmed yet, but if it lands, that’s a few extra hundred dollars I won’t complain about — especially with this month’s goal staring me down.
The One Delivery: Cocktail Tables… Again
The day’s only delivery was five cocktail tables with covers. Just five. Out of pure desperation, I waived the rush fee to secure the booking, and I already know tomorrow’s analysis is going to make me cringe.
Sometimes a booking is a win. Sometimes it’s a reminder that I need to stop negotiating with myself.
Until next time
