December 25, 2025 – Daily Recap

Christmas pauses the machine

Christmas definitely got in the way of business today, and honestly, I wasn’t mad about it. No jobs, no inquiries — not even a nibble. The whole operation basically went quiet, which felt fitting for the day.

Life First, Business Later

The first half of the day was fully spoken for by non-business stuff. Putting things together, grabbing batteries, grilling, the usual holiday chaos. By the time things slowed down, it already felt like the day had mostly slipped by.

Eventually, I carved out a little window to at least pretend I was productive. Not a full sprint by any means, but enough to keep the momentum from dropping to zero.

Inventory Rabbit Hole: Chairs and Tables

Once I sat down, I picked up where I left off and started analyzing my inventory more seriously. I focused on chairs and tables today and managed to get through those categories before my brain started tapping out.

Even with a first pass, some things are already becoming clear. Black chairs, in particular, are probably underpriced and could stand to go up. Cocktail tables also look like they might have some pricing headroom, though I want to sanity-check that before making changes.

I don’t fully trust the conclusions yet — I need a fresh brain to review what I’ve put together so far. But it’s enough signal to know this is worth continuing.

There were no fireworks today on the business side, and that’s fine. Christmas did its thing. I cracked open a useful thread, stopped when it made sense, and I’ll keep pulling on it tomorrow.

Until next time
