Stacked site visits, big decisions, and zero breathing room

I don’t think I’ve ever had a day quite like today. Three site visits. THREE! That might be standard for some companies, but for me it was a first — and wow, I get it now. It’s a whole different kind of marathon. Between that and a flood of new leads, I felt like I couldn’t catch my breath for even a second. But hey, if these are my problems, I’ll take them.

Three-Site Circus
I stacked three site visits today and it nearly knocked me out. Each one had its own quirks, conversations, and follow-ups. By the third stop, I was running on fumes but still trying to be “Mr. Enthusiastic Event Guy.” It gave me a new appreciation for the folks who do this pace every single week. Respect.

Wood Table Breakup
Before the madness kicked off, I hit the warehouse early to roll out some wood tables I was selling. Happy to report: I am officially out of the wood table game (except for cocktail tables, which are apparently eternal). This was a rare moment where I put my foot down on a business decision instead of bending to customer requests. Good riddance, at least for now. Maybe I’ll revisit the idea down the road, but today it feels like a win.

Admin Avalanche
After that final site visit, I went back to the warehouse with the noble plan of organizing or even pre-packing the truck for tomorrow’s events. The universe laughed in my face. Instead, I got buried in admin: quotes, follow-ups, answering questions, ordering supplies. You know, the kind of invisible work that eats up hours but somehow doesn’t make your warehouse look any cleaner.

Until next time
